Marstair has a large range of MCU+ condensing units available suitable for use with R407C. There are many systems still functioning on R22 refrigerant, however R22 refrigerant is no longer available for servicing this equipment. Many of these systems will need replacing due to their age but it is not always that simple. It is often very difficult to access the pipework on these old systems. R407C requires similar pipework so can be used to easily replace R22 condensing units whilst maintaining the existing pipework and evaporator if required.

Marstair have a range of condensing units available MRCGH which make it easy to recover the heat generated from the refrigeration process into either hot water or directly into the air through our GreenHeat Cassette CC600MGH.
The MRCGH condensing unit has 2 extra pipe connections along with the usual suction and liquid lines. The discharge pipe off the compressor is split giving superheated discharge and de-superheated discharge pipe connections. There are also valves within the condensing unit allowing the heat to be diverted when required. If the heat is diverted, the de-superheated discharge then runs through the condensing coil as normal, but the fan speed control slows the fan to suit the required condensing temperature.
The Marstair CC600MHG GreenHeat cassette is specifically designed to recover heat from a refrigeration system with minimum resistance to the flow. The heat recovered from the refrigeration system reduces the heating required from an alternative system.
Marstair ducted condensing units offer the ability to provide cooling in areas where the siting of an external condensing unit is not possible due to planning restrictions. The Marstair range includes condensing units for air-conditioning applications DCU+, as well as medium temperature refrigeration applications DRC+.

Where these systems must be reliable and not switch off due to high refrigerant temperature/- pressure, R134A is an excellent solution due to the high allowable condensing temperatures. The evaporator information includes published duty tables for evaporating temperature against air inlet temperature, making it easy to be confident the evaporator is correctly sized for the application.
CO2 for refrigeration is becoming very prominent in the supermarket sector. However the air-conditioning is often separate. Marstair has a range of CO2 evaporators suitable for air conditioning applications. Utilising the Marstair CO2 evaporators allows the entire air-conditioning and refrigeration system to run off a single pack, giving economies of scale. The evaporators also have the option of LPHW coils giving the opportunity of recovering the heat from the refrigeration system into the store, drastically reducing or even totally removing the need for a separate heating system.
